Les Diablerets, Glacier 3000
The authentic Alpine village Les Diablerets has conquered its glacier at an altitude of over 3,000 m offering hikes, winter sports and other activities, such as the Alpine Coaster, set within view of snow-capped peaks.
Les Diablerets (1,200 m) is located at the foot of a rocky massif topped by a glacier. This village in the Alps of the Lake Geneva Region started opening its doors to tourism in the middle of the 19th century and inaugurated the first ski lift in French speaking Switzerland.
To date, its ski region of 125 km stretches up to glacier 3000, an adventure zone offering various activities at an altitude of up to 3,000 metres. On « Glacier 3000 », 24 summits with heights of more than 4,000 m, such as the Matterhorn or Mont Blanc form a 360° panorama.
On the ice, where the winter season lasts longer, there are ski slopes (25 km), cross-country slopes (3,5 km), the snowpark, snowshoeing trails (50 km), but also mountain biking and Nordic walking for any taste. Don’t miss the “Alpine Coaster” sled on rails, which tears down the slope at a speed of over 40 m/h.
Summer visitors, who spend a night at Les Diablerets, receive the Free Access Card for the free use of public transport, ski lifts, sports and leisure facilities (Glacier 3000 not included in the offer).
