About us

CITAV (Communauté d'intérêt touristique des Alpes vaudoises – Community of Tourist Interest in the Vaud Alps) is a non-profit association with the objective of promoting and developing tourism in the Vaud Alps region. It brings together the municipalities in the districts of Aigle (Aigle, Gryon, Leysin, Ollon, Ormont-Dessous and Ormont-Dessus) and Pays-d'Enhaut (Château-d'Oex, Rossinière and Rougemont).

The organization is in charge for the implementation of the project "Alpes vaudoises 2020."

Alpes.ch is CITAV’s web platform to promote locations in the Vaud Alps as tourist resorts (Villars-Gryon, Bex, Lavey-les-Bains, Les Diablerets, Aigle, Leysin, Col des Mosses, Château-d’Oex, Rossinière, Rougemont and L’Etivaz as well as La Lécherette).

The Vaud Alps region provides a perfect opportunity to relax and meet up with friends and family - with its proximity to nature, its diverse landscapes, the authenticity of its people and its terroirs, its multiple sporting options and activities of all kinds - offering shared knowledge and experiences.

Committee
The committee consists of eight members (municipalities, regional organisations and promotional companies) and oversees the two offices in charge of operational activities. It is chaired by Mr Jean-Marc Udriot (Mayor of Leysin). Contact

Promotional Office
This office is composed of the directors of the three promotional areas, a representative from the Canton of Vaud Tourist Office, and the head of marketing and promotion at CITAV. It establishes and manages the annual marketing plans and is responsible for the implementation of the marketing and promotion strategy in the Vaud Alps region. It maintains contact with various internal/external partners involved in promotion. Contact

Development de l'offre Office
This unit consists of representatives of groups of municipalities from the 3 areas of the Vaud Alps, the economic delegate of the Aigle region, the regional advisor for the Pays-d’Enhaut region and CITAV representatives. It prepares and adapts the development strategy (evolution/diversification) and monitors tourist infrastructure projects. It oversees the monitoring, support and realisation of projects (with or without the assistance of the LADE - law supporting economic development - see below). It maintains contact with municipalities, regional organisations and other internal/external partners involved in development. Contact

LADE support
CITAV reviews regional projects that are the subject of a request for financial aid under LADE (Loi d'Appui au Développement Economique du canton de Vaud - Law supporting economic development in the Canton of Vaud) and verifies that they comply with the strategy for tourism diversification in the Vaud Alps – a strategy validated at Municipal and Cantonal levels.
